A milestone in the city. Since opening its door in 1973, The Excelsior, Hong Kong, in hearth of causeway bay and overlooking Victoria Harbor, has nurtured countless moments of joy and built hearty connections with guests.
Before bidding farewell, and to express gratitude towards patrons for their 45 years of support, the hotel has designed fabulous dining offers to create memorable experiences for all to cherish.




Dickens Bar

Until the end of December, this renowned English pub calls for all chicken wingspuffs for a challenge. Participants of this “Hot Wings Challenge” have to finish 45 pieces ofhot wings within a time limit. The very first record was set by Joseph Chan, Executive Chef of The Excelsior. He magically completed in 30 minutes 45 seconds. Participants who are able to beat the latest record and finish all 45 chicken wings will be awarded with a Dickens Bar collectible edition of rugby T-shirt and one glass of home brewed beer Master Dickens.

Dickens Bar takes its famous Indian curry menu to another level for gourmands. Reliving all the tasty memories of its legendary curries, this sports bar features a special menu with five Indian curry flavours, including Chicken Rogan Josh, Lamb Vindaloo, Mutton Palak Paneer, Salmon Tandoori and Beef Kabob Cake, served with Naan Bread, Basmati Rice and more.




Café on the 1st

The best way to remember wonderful moments is to refresh them with new ones. From December onwards, the talented pastry team has specially created a 45th Anniversary Cake for guests to celebrate this important milestone with the hotel. Baked Alaska, Pan-fried Foie Gras, a wide selection of premium seafood, Steamed Boston Lobster, all are not-to-be-missed dishes during dinnertime. Guests’ appetite will also be spiced up with a live whole yellowfin tuna carving performance every Friday night.




ToTT’s and Roof Terrace

25 Years back, Samuel Lau represented the hotel to join the citywide Beefeater Cocktail Competition and won the first runner-up. To commemorate the hotel’s anniversary, these award-winning cocktails, Sunny Island and Juniper will be back on the list, along with the newly created Pink Panther cocktail. This delightful drink will bring guests back to the Year 1978, when the British comedy film “Revenge of the Pink Panther” was shot at this then five- year-old hotel. More golden oldies such as Manhattan and Grasshopper will also be served from now till the end of the year.
