Art Basel is back

This year’s show brings together a stellar lineup of 248 leading galleries from 32 countries. Featured among them are 28 first-time participants to the Hong Kong show, including prominent galleries from the United States and Europe as well as a younger generation of galleries from Asia and the Asia-Pacific.

The 2018 edition, from 29 to 31 March, features 248 premier galleries from 32 countries and territories. Underlining Art Basel's commitment to the region, half of the participating galleries once again have exhibition spaces in Asia and Asia-Pacific.

The show provides an in-depth overview of the region’s diversity through both historical material and cutting-edge works by established and emerging artists.

Art Basel Hong Kong's Encounters sector, dedicated to presenting large-scale sculptures and installations by leading artists from around he world is back. The sector includes original and immersive works. Subjects range from "soft architecture", large scale kitchenware to kinetic sculpture.

Curated for the fourth consecutive year by Alexis Glass-Kantor and supported by MGM Resorts and Culture, the 2018 edition features 12 monumental works displayed in prominent locations throughout the exhibition halls.

Additionally, the Film sector presents an exciting program of special screenings and short films by and about artists, while Conversations explores key topics in today’s art world through in-depth discussions. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

Art Basel hosts a series of conversations on topics concerning the global contemporary art scene.
