The Murray, Hong Kong, invites guests to celebrate the holiday season with a range of lavish festive dining offerings perfect for creating precious yuletide memories.....



Popinjays, the hotel’s iconic rooftop restaurant and bar, is the perfect destination for sophisticated celebrations elevated with sweeping views of the city. 
This Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, treat your loved ones to a lavish six-course Christmas dinner featuring European classics with a modern touch such as Scallop Carpaccio and Aquitaine Caviar, Foie Gras à la Ficelle, Irish King Langoustine with Perigord Black Truffles and Grand Veneur Wild Venison. The festive menu affords diners a luxurious finale to the year. Guests looking to inject some holiday spirit into their afternoon can visit Popinjays for the flamboyant Festive Afternoon Tea which will be available from 1 December 2019 to 5 January 2020.


Those who prefer daytime dining can join in the Christmas Day Brunch, where the little ones can look forward to visits from Santa Claus and a joyous live chorus of Christmas carols. Available in two seatings, the champagne and seafood buffet array include a bountiful Plateau de Fruits De Mer, live carving stations offering roasted turkey and barbecued meats, and a wide range of cold and hot selections guaranteed to elicit smiles from every guest.



To celebrate the New Year’s Eve, enjoy a great Countdown Party featuring a line-up of live DJ performances by opening DJ Yukiko, celebrity DJ Tom Price and closing DJ Patrice. The party will also unveil an expertly crafted cocktail that will be available at Popinjays in 2020. Guests can access the Popinjays party and receive a complimentary glass of house pour to ring in the new year.




The Tai Pan  modern bistro menu, anchored by seasonal organic and artisanal produce,  will also be extended to the Garden Lounge. Seasonal highlights include Tasmanian Ocean Trout, Maine Lobster Consommé and Grilled Prime Beef Tenderloin. Guests can select from a premium 5-course dinner on Christmas Eve, a deluxe 5-course Christmas Day dinner and a splendid 6-course Gala Dinner on New Year’s Eve. Besides featuring artisanal premium ingredients like Patagonian 51 Toothfish and Mayura Farms Wagyu Beef, the New Year’s Eve Gala dinner also provides guests with option which grants them access to Popinjays’ countdown party.

Every weekend from 7 to 22 December, merrymakers can get into the holiday spirit with The Murray Brunch at The Tai Pan and Garden Lounge. The sumptuous spread of composed salads, smoked seafood, charcuterie, Peking duck and mains made to order. The daytime festivities will culminate in a special Christmas Day brunch with two seatings,  and a New Year’s Day brunch. The family-friendly semi-buffet brunch comes complete with a gingerbread decorating station, ornament making station, live Christmas carols and visits from Santa Claus.

For festive gatherings of a more leisurely nature, Garden Lounge is serving its signature Christmas Afternoon Tea to 5 January 2020. The picturesque Afternoon Tea set includes enticing sweet and savoury bites as well as a dessert trolley filled with a tempting selection of Christmas treats that can also be enjoyed on the al fresco and pet-friendly terrace. The pet favorite Paws For Tea will return for a festive edition on 14 and 15 December. Patrons and their pets can enjoy a festive-themed afternoon tea with customised dog scones and doggy treats for their furry friends.
