KOWLOON SHANGRI-LA, HONG KONG SUPPORTS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH









To support Breast Cancer Awareness month, Lobby Lounge, Déli Kool and Tapas Bar at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong will be offering a pink-inspired afternoon tea, a perfectly glazed pink cake and a selection of Rosé Champagnes, respectively, throughout the month of October.





Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry, to fund genetic testing, counselling and breast cancer treatment for disadvantaged families.




Served in the custom-made four-tier golden birdcage hanging either from the ceiling or on a stand, the pink afternoon tea features a selection of cold items including prawn tartar with spicy mayo and crispy sakura shrimp; duck foie gras terrine with pink Champagne jelly; smoked salmon, cream cheese and beetroot bread sandwich; and a homemade pickle dish. Guests can also revel in sweet pink delights crafted by the hotel’s executive pastry chefWins Hung; the selection includes his favourite creations such as sakura strawberry jelly; green tea Breton with rhubarb compote; pink chocolate guava mousse crunch bar; Griotte cherry layer cake; and raspberry cream puff lollipop.




Another highlight of the tea set is the freshly baked scones served with homemade strawberry ginger preserve and Devonshire clotted cream. Priced at HK$ 498 for two, the pink afternoon tea set is available at Lobby Lounge from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm throughout October.


Especially created in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, a pink-infused cake will be on offer at Déli Kool from 1 September to 31 October 2019. Priced at HK$ 375 for a whole cake and HK$ 40 for each piece of sliced cake, the decadently smooth guava and Jivara Bavarian mousse cake is made of a vanilla sponge, guava confit, Jivara milk chocolate and Bavarian cream, and finished off with a flawless pink glaze – a perfect choice for celebrations and house gatherings.



Tapas Bar delights guests with four carefully selected Rosé Champagnes from 1 to 31 October this year: Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, Domaine Saint Aix Rosé, Château Léoube Le Secret de Léoube Rosé and Château Roubine La Vie en Rosé. Guests can sip and splurge on Rosé Champagnes inside the bar amid contemporary furnishings or in the outdoor patio overlooking the Victoria Harbour.
